Scotch Colony Hearts and Hearths errata

Hearts and Hearths  – corrections June, 2013. Most of the material was presented by members of a great many families. There were 136 contributors and with that many writers, mistakes are inevitable. Here are a few corrections.

  • A Woodman’s Tale – p.16, para. 1 – “…son of Alfred and Hannah Smith…” , “In the year I was born, 1923…”
  • Elements of Success – The Story of the Frasers – p.25, last para. – delete “who were born in the Scotch Colony”
  • JB Adam, The Story of a Colony Store Keeper – p. 28 – para.1- “Ida Whittier”
  • p28 Susan (Chapman) Hargrove, every Spring, picks quarts and quarts of these succulent small berries on the Lowe fields up and behind where she and her husband Andy now live.
  • p. 34 Wagoner should be Wagner.
  • p. 35 “… a dance on the hard wood floor in the McNichol barn. “

  • Chopped red and green pepper should be Chopped red ONION and green pepper.
  • p. 181 1 1/2 c margarine should be 1/2 (one half) c margarine
